Who We Are

The King George County Health Department participates in the Every Woman's Life (EWL) program, a public health program that helps uninsured, low-income women gain access to free cervical cancer screening services.  Screening and early detection reduce death rates and improve treatment options. In some sites where EWL services are offered, women can also be screened for high blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose and also learn how to become more physically active, eat healthier foods, and more.

To be eligible, women must be Virginia residents between the ages of 50-64 and also ages 40-49 who are considered high risk, meet federal income guidelines, and be uninsured.  Please see the website for more information.
