The Support Services of Virginia, Inc.'s (SSVA) Sponsored Residential Program(SR) provides full-time, 24 hours, support for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Placement in one of SSVA’s sponsored homes insures individuals will benefit from personalized and consistent supports provided in a residential setting. Some sponsored homes offer a close, family-like setting, while others offer more independent options, like a private apartment, mother-in-law type suite, within the home.

Each Sponsored home has its own unique character and SSVA assures that the specific home chosen matches well with the individual’s interests and needs. When a home is identified that seems like a good match,  SSVA will schedule initial visits. Once a home is chosen, SSVA provides trial runs of transition visits ranging from a few hours to overnights or weekends. At times, placements may be available on very short notice.
