Who We Are

Richmond Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) provides consultation services to the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court and the Mental Health Docket of the Richmond City Circuit Court.

In the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, a clinician consults with the judges of the court and assists individuals for whom behavioral health services are recommended as a resolution of the issues which brought them before the court.

In Richmond City Circuit Court, clinicians consult with the court in the Mental Health Docket, advising the court on treatment possibilities for individuals whose offenses may be the result of behavioral health disorders. A Mental Health Alternative Sentencing Program provides treatment alternatives to jail terms for individuals who are screened and qualified for that program.
