Funeral, Fallen Heroes and Military Veterans

Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service is a locally owned funeral home serving the greater Richmond community since 1870.  Words cannot express the debt of gratitude we all owe to those who protect our American way of life.  To those serving as Police Officers, Firefighter, EMS Personnel and in the Armed Forces, who selflessly put themselves in harm’s way to preserve our freedoms, save our lives, protect our homes and keep our families safe, we respectfully salute you all. 

For Veterans, we will handle all arrangements for government documentation and services such as Flag for Ceremonial Dedication, Honors Detail & Flag Presentation Personnel, Request for Grave site Markers, Request for Service Reimbursements and Presidential Certificate of Recognition signed by the current US President in office. 

For all Active Duty personnel we offer our Fallen Heroes Program. Our Fallen Heroes Program applies to anyone killed in action in the Armed Forces or who dies in the line of duty as a Police Officer, a Firefighter, or an EMS Person.  These are all endeavors that are above and beyond the risk that most Americans assume.  Therefore, in recognition of this exceptional commitment by these special individuals, should the need arise, we are proud to offer any or all of our services, facilities and transportation expenses at no cost and will provide all merchandise and cash advance items at wholesale cost to the family of a Fallen Hero.

Funds that may be paid by a government agency or other source for any of our services listed above will be donated back to the family or estate of the Fallen Hero.

Pre-planning services are available, as well as embalming, funeral and grave site services.
