At Prince William County Community Services (PWCCS), the Behavioral Health Residential program promotes successful community living, fosters maximum independence, and prevents psychiatric hospitalizations and involvement with the criminal justice system for adults with serious behavioral health disorders (including adults with co-occurring disorders). Individuals enrolling in the program require support services to function independently in the community. These individuals may reside in their own or family apartments or homes, in apartments or houses provided by nonprofit community partners, in townhouses owned or leased by the PWCCS or may be homeless and staying in shelters, cars, tents in the woods, etc.
