Behavioral Health Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services

Cumberland Mountain Community Services Board's (CMCSB) Mental Health Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services (PSR) provides a structured environment for individuals with a severe and persistent behavioral health issues to engage in socialization activities and participate in meaningful work opportunities. Individuals are encouraged by their peers and staff to develop their functional abilities and skills and to become as independent as possible. Services are provided through satellite offices in Lebanon, Grundy, and Tazewell.



The activities of behavioral health PSR programs include the following:

• assessing the individual’s basic needs and functional abilities;
• provision of training, support, and supervision to individuals who have deficits in skills for activities of daily living;
• enhancing functional behaviors;
• linking to community resources;
• developing basic independent living skills and functional abilities;
• monitoring of health, nutrition and physical conditions;
• increasing socialization;
• developing basic vocational skills leading to employment;
• supporting the overall wellness of the individual receiving services.
