Children and Adolescent Outpatient Counseling, Williamsburg

At Colonial Behavioral Health (CBH), Outpatient Counseling includes individual, group and family therapy. In most cases counseling is short term, focused on improving the child's or adolescent's functioning and is family centered. Issues that lend themselves to this approach are aggression, defiant behaviors, school problems, trauma, anxiety, depression, and family disruptions, such as divorce and bereavement. Short term crisis counseling is available. 



A family meets with a licensed therapist who gathers information, helps the family assess their problems and needs and assists the parents in developing a treatment plan for their child or adolescent. The therapist identifies all services that may be helpful to the family.
