Who We Are
HumanKind offers the Sponsored Homes model of care. This newest program for adults, which started in September 2010, provides residential services to adults with intellectual disabilities. Families who wish to provide this service open up their homes and their hearts to individuals who wish to live in a family setting in the community. We oversee the support provided by the family and we are responsible for support coordination services.
The goal is to bring individuals with intellectual disabilities into the community to live with loving and supportive families. This model of care gives individuals a family setting, more personal, one on one attention and a consistent network of support.
