Lakewood Retirement is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) with independent living, assisted living, and nursing care. Medicare services can be provided.

Must be a current resident of a continuing care retirement community to move to nursing care, but individuals who are not residents at Lakewood may go directly to assisted living care if space permits.

The support system provided by life care starts the minute you move to Lakewood.

The convenience of the services through assisted living and nursing care on-site at Lakewood makes a difference in your well-being. When the need arises for short or long-term care, you are among caregivers you know and who know you.

Keep in mind that when you access health services, there will be no additional increase in your monthly fee. The only other charges will be the cost of two additional meals daily and any ancillary charges (i.e., medical supplies, pharmacy services, etc.). Through the payment of the entrance fee, you have prepaid in today's dollars for your future health care needs available at Lakewood.

The skilled nursing services are licensed by the Virginia Department of Health and the assisted living services are licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services.
