Who We Are
Charter Senior Living of Newport News offers Flourish℠ Memory Care for individuals with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia.
Flourish℠ Memory Care is an innovative approach that helps those with Alzheimer's rediscover the joy in everyday life in a safe, structured environment with set routines and a higher level of specialized care and programming. The dementia care plan is designed to lower stress and increase dignity for those living with memory problems. Care can include
- Dressing
- Bathing
- Grooming
- Other essential activities of daily living (ADLs)
The staff is specially trained to deal with the issues that arise due to dementia or Alzheimer’s. They visit with residents more frequently to build a sense of familiarity and provide extra support in Memory Care services to help them navigate their day.
