Who We Are
ChAMPS (Child and Adolescent Mobile Psychiatric Service) is an emergency response service for children, teenagers and adolescent adults who are having a mental health or behavioral health crisis. Behavioral Health Services provides an on-call, mobile emergency service for children ages 6 to 17 experiencing a behavioral or mental health crisis in the District of Columbia. Call 202.481-1440 and a crisis response team can arrive and begin recovery. The service is provided at no cost to District residents and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
