Pharmacy Assistance is offered at all Health Centers. Pharmacy Assistance helps patients who are unable to pay for their routine, maintenance medications such as blood pressure medication. Prescriptions can cost as little as $4.25 for a 3 month supply of medicine.
To see if you qualify, call the Medication Assistance Caseworker, or Pharmacy Assistant at your center to schedule an appointment. Please bring proof of income (Federal 1040 tax forms and/or salary/paycheck stubs) and recent tax forms to this appointment. You must be an ESRHS patient to qualify for this program. The approval process could take up to 10 weeks. Refills should be ordered 6-8 weeks in advance.
The pharmacy assistance program is sponsored, in-part, by a grant from the Virginia Health Care Foundation's Rx Relief program.
