Who We Are

Diggs Town is a public housing complex with 422 units on 30 acres. Public housing, also known as subsidized housing or assisted housing, provides decent rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly and persons with disabilities. Housing ranges from single-family houses to high-rise apartments for seniors.

NRHA's Housing operations division administers apartments in 16 Norfolk neighborhoods and provides a variety of support services to help residents of public housing improve their lives.



Diggs Town has won several architectural awards for its innovative neighborhood design complete with front porches, white picket fences and yards.
