Who We Are

Friendship Industries develops and maintains employment and training opportunities for persons with disabilities.  Clients are employed at Friendship Industries through one of four programs:

  • Work Assessment Program: Staff works with adults who are intellectually or physically disabled or who have had a work-related injury or illness. Evaluation is done of each individual's knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors in a real work setting. After an assessment, the individual goes to the Work Adjustment program or Supported Employment or Extended Employment.

  • Work Adjustment Program:  Helps an individual improve their work skills and behaviors and develop a plan for using their skills for productive work.

  • Medicaid Waiver:  Prevocational Medicaid Waiver program is an intensive training program that helps clients develop personal and work knowledge, skills, and abilities that will enable them to learn to be successful employees.

  • Extend Employment:  Most clients at Friendship are in Extended Employment. Clients in Extended Employment work in an integrated and supportive work environment. An integrated work environment is a work environment in which persons with and without disabilities work together to produce quality products and fulfill customer requests.

Some transportation services are provided in this program.
