Accessible Older Adult Independent Living

Lewinsville Retirement Residence is a federally assisted nonprofit apartment complex that provides Section 202 and Section 8 housing. The Lewinsville offers housing for older adults age 62 and older.  There are 143 apartments iwhich consists of 6 studio apartments, 132 one-bedroom apartments, and 5 two-bedroom apartments. 

Utilities are included in the rent. Noon and evening meal are available.  Some accessible units. An emergency response system is available. Serves one meal per day. Operates a beauty shop, store, game room, arts and crafts room, and library in the building. Provides 24-hour front desk coverage. Does not offer nursing care.



Provides programs designed to promote wellness, socialization, and educational growth. Rent for some apartments is based on monthly income. Accepts Section Eight. Applicants for admission to Lewinsville must meet the following requirements: head of household must be at least 62 years of age; gross annual income must be within limits set by HUD; must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen; and, must commit to living in a smoke-free property. People are eligible for admission without regard to racial, ethnic, or religious background.
