Who We Are
Carriage Hill has a Memory Care Program that is a separate unit designed specifically for people with Alzheimer's and other memory impairment disorders. The Alzheimer's caregivers have advanced training in all aspects of the disease and permanent staff assignments help promote close relationships between resident and caregiver. Non-ambulatory residents are welcome.
The Comprehensive Alzheimer's program provides the full range of care and services for seniors with mid-to-early-moderate cognitive and functional impairment and those with moderate-to early-severe impairment. Before anyone is admitted, a screening process is done which forms the foundation for the Individualized Life Activity Plan. The plan, which integrates pleasant events or activities of the past into the resident's current environment, is designed to promote self-esteem, reinforce a daily routine, and prevent or treat the depression that often afflicts people with Alzheimer's. Also provided are continence care, behavior management, diabetic management, respiratory care, wound management, and escorts and assistance with walking.
