Who We Are
Braywood Manor Apartments are designed for the elderly age 62 and older, disabled and handicapped. Braywood Manor has 220-one bedroom units and 18-two bed-bedroom units. These are subsidized by the federal government under lower-income rental assistance (Section 8), U.S. Housing Act of 1937. Serves as an independent living facility; not a nursing home.
Braywood Manor has a resident council, with officers, and resident participation and planning with many activities, including bingo. The funds from bingo are given back to the residents in way of dinners, picnics, birthday parties, etc. Also, available is a library, with large print books loaned from Berkley Library.
