Who We Are
A program of Horizon Behavioral Health, Medical Detoxification Services provide a safe medically supervised detoxification for alcohol or drug dependence and provides coping skills to assist individuals to become alcohol and drug free. The program facilitates the client’s transition into the next appropriate level of care for ongoing treatment of his or her dependence on alcohol or drugs. Services provided in the detoxification program include a medical evaluation, medications to manage the detoxification process, case management, individual and group counseling, and twenty four hour monitoring by nursing staff. The program accepts admissions twenty four hours, seven days a week.

Recovery and Transition referrals should be directed to the Transitional Program Supervisor at the Courtland Center at 434-525-5723 between 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. To access Medical Detoxification, contact a detox nurse at (434) 455-2098
