Who We Are
Joseph C. Thomas Center offers memory care in two households. It focuses on supporting each person’s strengths and abilities – not their limitations. Strives to preserve independence, and provide an environment that is nurturing, safe and comfortable. Services are tailored to support optimum independence by adapting the environment to allow a person to be successful. Helping individuals to be successful in daily tasks affords them a sense of dignity and gives purpose and meaning to life. Offers private rooms with space for favorite belongings, private baths, a ‘house’ kitchen, laundry room, and comfortable common areas. An enclosed courtyard provides a safe environment for residents to enjoy walking and other outdoor activities. Secured doors help ensure resident safety and security.
As needs change, Richfield Recovery and Care Center’s Memory Care Program offers a continuation of the early and mid-stage program available in the Joseph C. Thomas Center. Together these programs offer a complete range of services for those with Alzheimer’s disease or other related memory impairments, from assisted living to complete nursing care.
The capacity is 87.
Vacation, recovery, and respite stays are available and can be designed to meet your needs for as little as two days or for as long as a month. The program affords family members the opportunity to vacation, or simply take a restful break from the everyday demands of providing daily care to a loved one. It can also provide an opportunity to evaluate the benefits of assisted living at Richfield before making a permanent move. Limited client transportation is available. A waiting period is possible.
The Joseph C. Thomas Center is part of Richfield Retirement Community, a not-for-profit community offering options for independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled and rehabilitative nursing care.
