Rare Disease Health Information and Resource Guide

NORD, the National Organization for Rare Disorders, provides information and referral on over 5000 rare diseases and organizations that deal with them. Offers access to a computer database of over 1100 diseases and reprints of disease entries through the mail. Can send information by mail and give information over the telephone.



A Resource Guide listing more than 1,200 organizations, agencies, support groups and registries that help people with rare diseases is available. Through NORD's Networking Program, thousands of people are linked to others who have similar diseases. NORD also publishes a newsletter ""Orphan Disease Update"" three times a year.



NORD relies on membership contributions to continue providing programs of education, advocacy, research and service to people with rare disorders. Call for membership information.
