Norton Community Hospital is one of several Ballad Health locations that is accredited in imaging tests by the American College of Radiology (ACR).  Imaging Services & Treatments offered: 

• Bone density test (DEXA scan) – Can detect osteoporosis (brittle, fragile bones) before you break a bone

• Computed tomography (CT scan) – Takes X-rays from many angles to create detailed images

• Interventional radiology – Diagnoses and treats diseases with guidance from images

• Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) – Uses magnets and radio waves, not radiation

• PET, SPECT and nuclear medicine – Injects a radioactive dye into your body to make veins, tissue and organs show up on a special camera

• Ultrasound imaging – Sends painless sound waves into your body to create pictures

• X-ray and fluoroscopy – Creates still pictures of your bones (X-ray) or moving, real-time images of other parts of your body (fluoroscopy)
