Who We Are
Giles Adult Day Services is a program for adults who need supervision, care and support during the daytime while their caretaker(s) rest or work. Adult day care is a professional and cost-effective alternative to nursing home care or private sitters. Services we provide to seniors, individuals with dementia and individuals with disabilities include rehabilitation, therapeutic recreation, socialization, health and nutrition monitoring, supervision for safety and assistance with activities of daily living. This includes assistance in bathing, toileting, walking, ambulating and dressing.
Services may include adult day social programs, Alzheimer's day care and adult day health care. The program is designed to provide health and/or social needs. Adult day care centers are non-residential facilities that provide a variety of health, social and related support services in a protective setting during part of the day only to four or more aged, infirm or disabled adults who reside elsewhere.
The program provides breakfast, lunch and two nutritional snacks. A handicapped-accessible van will provide transportation for a small fee. Capacity is 24.
