Who We Are
The Crossings at 4th and Preston is a sixty studio apartment building with support services in a mixed-income community with a blend of units for homeless and low-income clients in the Charlottesville area. Thirty units are designated for homeless clients and thirty units are available to individuals earning 50% or less of the area median income. The Crossing is located at Fourth and Preston near the downtown mall and central business district.
Support services by Virginia Supportive Housing are available to help residents stabilize and improve their health, incomes, and housing. With support from the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County, The Crossings is a regional solution to homelessness.
The apartments are furnished with full refrigerator, range oven, full bathroom and closet. The front desk is staffed sixteen hours per day and a resident manager is on-call in the evenings. The building has an extensive security system, laundry room, off-street parking, access to public transportation and more.
