Who We Are
The Kenneth School educates children, adolescents and young adults with a primary diagnosis of intellectual disability. Men and women with developmental disabilities benefit from vocational evaluations, situational assessments, internships, life skills education, job training through career academies, job development, placement assistance, on-the-job training, and ongoing follow-ups supports once they are employed.
Kennedy Institute provides work adjustment training, career development, career education and adult education for individuals who have developmental disabilities and limited or no work experience. The program creates opportunities for men and women to be active participants in their communities while living in their families' homes, or in more formal living arrangements (eg. homes and apartments managed by Kennedy Institute).
Individuals receive highly individualized supports, based on their preferences and support requirements. These supports may include life skills development, transportation assistance, and support to participate in the faith community of their choice, and advocacy activities.
