Who We Are
The Memory Loss Unit at Cedar Manor contains a wing for people with memory disorders. This living area is possibly the region's most unique environment. Designed by Lori Hasty, RN, gerontology nurse specialist, this wing fully meets the needs of older people whose disorders may have them "living" in their younger years.
The secure wing has living areas for 12 older adults with severe memory loss. Ongoing therapeutic care is incorporated in daily activities and the living environment. The unit was designed with the philosophy to allow people to have their dementia however they are going to have it. They staff is trained in the latest dementia and validation therapies, and a gerontologist makes weekly visits.
To ensure residents safety, Wander Guard has been installed.
