Who We Are

Central Virginia Health Services, Petersburg patients who have difficulty affording their prescriptions may use two centrally located CVHS pharmacies. Income-based discounts may decrease the cost of prescriptions and both of pharmacies accept most prescription insurance cards.

CVHS patients without prescription drug coverage may qualify for medication assistance from pharmaceutical companies. Medication Assistance Program Coordinators help patients enroll in medication assistance programs. Medications are available for a small dispensing fee, or in certain cases, free. Patients may pick up their medications at the CVHS pharmacy or have them mailed for a nominal fee.

The office closes at 12:00 PM on the first Wednesday of each month. The pharmacy closes 30 minutes for lunch daily from 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM, except on Thursday when it closes from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM.
