Who We Are

The Deaf Services Program of the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board provides behavioral health, developmental disabilities and substance use services to residents of Fairfax County and the Cities of Fairfax and Falls Church.



Services include:

Case management and therapy services provided to:

• Individuals (children, adolescents, and adults);

• Couples;

• Families.



Other services include:

• Advocacy;

• Medication services;

• Crisis counseling;

• Case management;

• Referral and consultation;

• Community education;

• Substance use education.



Program staff are:

• Graduates of accredited schools;

• Fluent in American Sign Language and English;

• Familiar with deaf culture;

• Knowledgeable about psychosocial aspects of deafness and its impact on family members.



Professional American Sign Language interpreters are provided for staff members who do not sign, but are working with deaf consumers.

Emergency Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days per week.

Intake Process
Call or walk in. Adults ages 18 to 65 may walk in for a same day eligibility screening. Adults over age 65, children and youth, and people with development disability are served by calling Entry and Referral.
