Who We Are
The adult Behavioral Health Inpatient Program at Sentara RMH Medical Center provides diagnostic and treatment services for adults who are in acute crisis due to mental illness, emotional distress, or destructive behavioral patterns, or for those experiencing difficult life transitions or problems coping with daily life. The program is designed to stabilize patients who require a more controlled environment for healing and growth and facilitates a return to daily routines.
The program uses a team approach that combines the diverse talents of our board certified psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, nurse practitioners, dietitians, mental health technicians, grief counselor, substance abuse specialist, recreational therapists, social workers and pet therapy round out our multidisciplinary staff.
