Who We Are

The Richmond City Health District has Resource Centers that offer a variety of clinical and community health services in Richmond’s public housing communities and in the Southwood Apartments. All services are available to anyone, and cost is based on a sliding scale. Resource Centers are staffed by teams of Community Health Workers (CHWs).

Creighton Resource Center is a partnership between Richmond City Health District, VCU Nursing Center, Mosby Tenant Council and Richmond City Redevelopment and Housing Authority.

Clinical services include:

  • STD/ STI / HIV screening and treatment 
  • Family planning services 
  • Chronic disease screening (obesity, blood pressure, diabetes) 
  • Cervical and annual breast exams 
  • Medical home and specialty referrals 
  • Medicaid/FAMIS referrals 

Community services include:

  • Community events 
  • Connections to health, economic, social, and educational resources 
  • Educational workshops 
  • Support groups 
  • Chronic disease management
