Who We Are

The Rapid Rehousing Program assists homeless clients to obtain permanent housing by providing security deposits and temporary rental assistance.

The Homeless Prevention Program (HHP) assists low-income clients that are at imminent risk of becoming homeless and have no other resources. Clients may receive assistance with rental arrearages or security deposits and temporary rental assistance.

Both programs provide case management, housing plans and budgeting assistance to each client. All applicants must call 540-271-1701 for an initial assessment.

There are limited funds for persons or families that are behind in their rent and are facing imminent eviction (less than 2 weeks until they must be out of their home).  Please call Centralized Intake at 540-271-1701 for program screening to see what area programs may be available.

Intake Process
Call Centralized Housing Intake (CI) 540-271-1701 for initial assessment. CI will make a referral to Mercy House once application is complete
