Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare provides direct supervision and community support services to individuals with developmental disabilities living in apartments or other residential settings. Support is provided at various times throughout the week on an individualized basis to help individuals live as independently as possible. Supports provided include menu planning, general health care management, grocery shopping, scheduling medical appointments, arranging transportation and paying bills.

Intake Process
Call the Access Center or walk in at The Burrell Center, located at 611 McDowell Avenue, Roanoke, Virginia 24016. Children and youth may walk-in for screening without an appointment between 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM Monday through Friday. There are extended walk-in hours for children and youth intakes on Tuesdays until 4:30 PM. The children and youth entrance to the Access Center is on the left side of the main Burrell Center building, highlighted by a Children’s Access Center sign. The adult entrance remains through the main Burrell doors in the center of the building.
