Volunteer Opportunities

The Arc of Greater Prince William is looking for Volunteers in a variety of areas. Recreational Activities: volunteers are needed to help with decorations, serve food and provide one on one assistance as needed at any of the therapeutic recreation events.



LIFE for Adults Physical Fitness Program (LIFE)/Integrated Bowling program: volunteers are needed to help with a weekly life skills and fitness program. The program participants and volunteers meet in Woodbridge and Manassas.



Day Care Center: volunteers are needed Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM until 5:30 PM during the school year and from 9:00 AM until 5:30 PM during the summer and school holidays.  Volunteers help with crafts, read books and provide extra attention for children and teen with developmental disabilities.



Vocational services: volunteers are needed at VOSAC, a day support program in Triangle for adults with severe disabilities. Volunteers are needed from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM Monday through Friday to help with activities and community outings. 



Residential program: volunteers are needed to "adopt" an individual or entire group home which means taking individuals out into the community, helping with special holiday activities or simply stopping by the group home for a friendly visit.
