Who We Are
Poplar Springs Hospital provides a therapeutic environment designed for the treatment of behavioral and emotional disorders, adolescent sexual offending, drug and alcohol abuse, and other issues that compromise productive daily functioning. These may include depression, stress, anxiety, phobias, self- injury, suicidal thoughts, grief, physical, sexual or emotional abuse, as well as acute psychiatric crisis conditions. Poplar Springs is Virginia's only civilian provider with an exclusive active duty inpatient mental health unit.
Poplar Springs Hospital offers 3 locations. Other than the main hospital, the residential treatment center for youth ages 11 to 17 provider gender specific housing is located in Petersburg and the Glen Allen location offers partial hospitalization and assessment center.
