Who We Are
Internal Medicine physicians or "Internists," are medical specialists who have completed college, medical school, and a three year residency focusing on medical care of adults. Known as "doctors for adults," Internists require a minimum of seven years training following college graduation. Internist physicians receive intensive training in all aspects of patient care including illness prevention, diagnosis, and treatment focusing on the problems of adults. Internists focus on the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of severe and/or chronic illnesses in adults.
Physician provides geriatric assessment, cognitive assessment, medication assessment (prescription and over-the-counter), physical exam, evaluation of falls, osteoporosis evaluation, evaluation and management of incontinence, and checking for hearing and vision impairment, depression, memory loss, anxiety and immobility.
