Judeo-Christian Outreach Center (JCOC) has a year round shelter for single adults. The shelter is based at the Housing Resource Center (HRC) which is located at 104 Witchduck Road. Housing support specialists work with participants to obtain permanent housing with the goal that participants can move from the shelter within 30-90 days.
JCOC works with area landlords to secure affordable housing options for homeless men and women. Clients receive home based case management for up to two years. Financial subsidies are given on a case-by-case basis
There is a day support program at the Housing Resource Center where men and women can take a shower, do laundry and apply for shelter and housing programs.
There may be a waiting list for several months. People in need of housing can call 757.491.2846 to be added to the list.
The Rapid Rehousing program is designed to place participants who are homeless into permanent housing and provide ongoing services for up to two years. Visit Rapid Rehousing Program for more information.
